National Bullying Prevention Awareness month and National Drug Awareness month.
October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness month and
National Drug Awareness month.

Stephens County Middle School will be participating in activities during the month of October to provide bullying prevention awareness and drug  awareness.  Students and staff will have an opportunity to support these causes by participating in activities that are being planned.

On Monday, October 6, 2014, we are asking students and staff to participate in Blue Shirt Day World Day of Bullying Prevention by wearing a Blue shirt.  Together we will be sending a message to everyone to end bullying and cyber bullying in our schools and communities.

Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated at SCMS during the week of October 27-31.  A list of daily activities for this week will be provided soon.  One of the things that we are already working on is having a banner made for students to sign to pledge their commitment to be drug free and to stop bullying and cyber bullying in our schools. This banner will be placed in the cafeteria for students to sign.  Our theme for the month will be:
